My name is Carolyn. I'm a professional graphic designer with over 13 years of creative experience working for local companies, taking their ideas and bringing them to life. It's now time for me to bring that same life into what I'm passionate about. I love working with events, bringing continuity to the visual adventure you embark on when you open your invitation envelope, go to a website for the first time, view your menu at a table or even pick up your name tag. It's all about one first impression after another. Telling a story through every element of your event brings excitement to the attendee and a secret sense of satisfaction to the host. We all love opening an invitation and seeing the design, feeling the paper, getting the sense of the couple together, the theme, the font, the colours... it all tells a story. Lilly & Hayles specializes in this experience.

There's no minimum invitation/packaging order.  Whether it is a small intimate gathering of 4, or a large blow-out bash of 250, I will provide with the same amount of creativity, quality and dedication to each unique event. Size really doesn't matter.

There are no cookie-cutter designs to choose from. Every bride envisions their special invitation announcing their event to the world, what the reception decor will look like, little nuances that will be noticed in your subconscious like how the purple in your invitation is tied into the lilacs in your bouquet. It's a beautiful marriage of colour, theme and personality. Each event is customized and designed to spec by the clients vision, not by a catalogue.

When it comes to invitations and event brand packaging I have a sample portfolio that demonstrates my talent and offers inspiration. The secret ingredient is the design experience. Working with a personal design professional with an extensive background in graphic design, marketing and branding knowledge; who comes armed with brilliant ideas and wisdom to offer freely to those interested, and provide guidance and trend-setting suggestions to meet your desires.  For example: If  there is an invitation package you see in a magazine, that's "almost"  perfect but not quite - I can create it for you with your colours and your flair.

I'm local. I will drive to you wherever you are in Ottawa and the Ottawa Valley. We will meet at your house or wherever the day takes us.  For our friends across the river, Gatineau and Aylmer areas are included in my  jurisdiction. I am bilingual so don't be shy! This mobile option is  available to anyone, however charges may be applied for travel outside  the specified areas.
